26/06/2008 - Finished the stiffeners

Today it was time to do the rest of the stiffeners onto the tank.  This went without a hitch, other than leaving the door closed and therefore feeling a little heady from all the fumes!!!

Oh and there is one thing I have not told you about.  I read on some forums somewhere in America that the components supplied for plastic bushings for the fuel gauges were not the best.  Apparently over time they will dissolve and may allow the screw to come in contact with the rib and as such mean that the gauges become in operative.  He was very convincing and he created his own out of Delrin.  Bob found someone to machine some for me, so I did the same.  The picture shows how the plastic tube has been done away with and that part is now integral to the Delrin bushing.
